Engy has 16+ years of consulting experience. She started with the UNFPA as an Economist in 2003, working on the MDGs in Egypt. She specialises in managing development strategy projects for governments across industries. Engy led a value chain study for the Nigerian government on the agribusiness, automotive, and renewable energy sectors.
On tourism, Engy has worked with multiple tourism agencies such as Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Omani Ministry of Tourism, among others. Work has included the development of frameworks to leverage tourism for economic development.
Previously, Engy was a Research Manager at an Egyptian consulting firm and helped establish the market intelligence unit at the Egyptian Ministry of Economy and Trade.
Engy has an MBA in International Markets, and a B.S. in Statistics.
