Despite the ongoing evolution of e-commerce in Poland, the preference among many Polish consumers to physically experience and assess footwear before purchasing keeps sports goods stores at the forefront. These stores continue to dominate the distribution channel, registering a solid double-digit year-on-year growth and securing more than half of total market share due to the value placed on in-person experiences and product assessment.
The prevailing inflation rates in Poland, projected to remain notably higher than the EU average despite anticipated disinflation, are significantly impacting footwear. Rising costs across raw materials, transportation, and manufacturing have resulted in increased production costs, subsequently driving up consumer prices.
The surging environmental consciousness among consumers and the global emphasis on eco-friendly practices are compelling footwear manufacturers to adopt sustainable materials, manufacturing processes, and transparent supply chains. Several Polish footwear manufacturers are beginning to integrate sustainable practices and products into their offerings.
