There have been numerous advancements and improvements in both the product quality and the technology used in vending machines, reflecting advancements in the manufacturing processes. This enhancement signifies a commitment to delivering higher standards in product quality, meeting the evolving expectations of consumers.
It is likely that the ongoing health trends will influence product selections in vending over the forecast period, as consumers increasingly steer away from sugary food and beverages. However, while this will mainly drive consumers to attempt to eat healthier meals, they are still likely to occasionally indulge in small snacks that are perceived to be less healthy when they are on the go, which vending machines offer.
The competitive environment in vending is unlikely to change over the forecast period and remain stable overall. There are high barriers to entry, thus, there are no new players on the horizon preparing to establish themselves in the channel and increase competition.
