Vending is expected to overcome the late review period of high inflation and return to positive, if moderate, retail value growth, even at constant 2023 prices through the forecast period. The channel is set to benefit from the increasing mobility and confidence of consumers on the go for both business and leisure purposes.
Vending is considered a highly suitable channel to test out and adopt new technologies and smart innovations. In the forecast period, new concepts may be connected to adding innovative payments, such as via modern cashless payments like cryptocurrency, or the installation of smart equipment, such as fridges, or using new sustainable packaging.
Vending operators are actively exploring partnerships with food and drinks manufacturers. As Sweden is famous for a focus on healthy lifestyles and active investments in new food technologies, vending operators can benefit from cooperation with modern and catchy brands, both locally and internationally.
