Traditionally the competitive landscape for RTDs has been concentrated around large local manufacturers Novi Produkty Group and Obolon, with these players still accounting for most sales as of 2023. Nonetheless, global players are expanding their presence in the category, offering traditionally popular cocktails (mostly gin and whiskey\bourbon-based).
RTDs is expected to see steady growth in total volume terms in Ukraine during forecasted period, driven by largely by a retail recovery. It is anticipated that some people will return from abroad, especially in areas of Ukraine that have been less impacted by Russia’s war.
Non-alcoholic RTDs is an incipient trend for the Ukrainian market with a limited supply of these products, compared to non-alcoholic beer and wine. Despite this, the category could have growth potential with younger generations increasingly following sober lifestyles for health and wellbeing reasons.

RTDs
RTD stands for ‘ready-to-drink’. Other terms which may be used for these products are FABs, alcopops and premixes. The RTDs sector is the aggregation of malt-, wine-, spirit- and other types of premixed drinks. These drinks usually have an alcohol content of around 5% but this can reach as high as 10% ABV. Premixes containing a high percentage of alcohol of around 15%+ combined with juice or any other soft drink are included here. RTDs are usually marketed as products to be drunk neat, with ice, or as a cocktail ingredient. Fruit-flavoured, vodka-based spirits with an alcohol content of between 16-21% are classified here. Examples: Alizé, Ursus Roter, Berentzen Fruchtige, Kleiner Feigling.
